Most of the bathrooms we fit now have a walk-in shower, and most of the people who ask for one are replacing a bath. It is easier to clean, easier to step into, and a single sheet of glass makes a small room look larger.

A compact bathroom with a walk-in shower starts at £11,300 fitted. That includes a level-access tray or a tiled former that falls to a linear drain, a thermostatic valve and a fixed glass panel.

The part you cannot see

A wet room only works if the water goes where it should. We tank the whole floor and the walls to full height in the shower zone, then fill the tray and leave it overnight before a tile goes on. If the level has dropped in the morning, we find out why.

Good for

  • Replacing a bath nobody has used in years
  • Planning a bathroom you can use at any age
  • Small rooms that look bigger with one floor finish
“We lived in the house the whole time. They built a temporary kitchen in the utility on day one, and it genuinely worked.”
